~All Along~
Balmy winds
lay him down
looming old trees
hum the sound
of love's rightful
place
against the wall-
closed eyes
remark, laugh,
whisper "fall"
and the globe
raises a brow
shocked
at enough.
Love's rightful place
against the wall
where identities squirm
synchronized
and still
they sit
when connected
he rises
head in hands
and cry.
She sees-
on bent knees
whispers "fall"
and he obeys
the one
inside-
it was him all along-
the wall,
the tree's place;
even the fall
skipped from
his own
lips.
A suicidal
joke.
An accident.
